In 1989, November,The members of Matrupuja Pathachakra at Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry, requested Sri Prapatti for the installation of Sri Aurobindo's Relics in their centre. Prapatti put this proposal before Babaji Maharaj and he gladly gave his consent . Sri Byomekesha Dash, the then Engineer in chief of the Govt. of Orissa gave the plan. The foundation was laid on 5th December, 1989 by Sri Anadi Charan Swain and the construction was completed within two years.
